Curious Moss Publishing is an aspiring independent, micro-publisher working toward an ethical hybrid publishing model. We are committed to nurturing visionary voices that stretch the boundaries of consciousness, storytelling, and transformation. We exist at the fertile edge of the mystical and the mundane, creating a space for books that challenge dominant narratives and plant seeds of deep, lasting change.

Rooted in Place
Curious Moss Publishing is rooted in the Kearsarge–Lake Sunapee region of New Hampshire, within N’dakinna—the traditional, unceded homeland of the Abenaki and Pennacook peoples, who continue to live in relationship with this land. This is a place of granite ledges, shadowed forests, glacial lakes, and ancient springs. It holds a quiet power: the mirrored depths of Lake Sunapee ~ Seninebi, the sacred freshwater of Bradford Springs ~ Nebizonbik, and the enduring presence of Mount Kearsarge ~ Kawasiwajo—its slopes weathered and watching.
Here, moss grows in the understory—softening stone, reclaiming forgotten places, teaching us the beauty of persistence. This is the landscape that shaped us. A place where transformation happens slowly, in cycles. Where time moves like mist through pine boughs, and water remembers everything.
We draw continual inspiration from this land’s rhythm—its stillness and resilience, its layered histories and hidden depths. It teaches us to move slowly. To listen deeply. To honor the unseen. These teachings are the ground from which Curious Moss Publishing has grown—informing how we create, collaborate, and carry stories into the world: deliberately, intimately, and with care.

A Commitment to Belonging
Curious Moss Publishing is devoted to cultivating a literary ecosystem where difference is celebrated, complexity is welcomed, and creativity flourishes beyond binaries. We actively seek to publish work that expands our collective understanding of spirituality, identity, and liberation.
We will celebrate diverse voices and stories that challenge the norms—particularly from LGBTQ+, BIPOC authors, creators whose bodies and minds move differently, and those exploring spirituality, mysticism, or transformation outside of dominant frameworks. We believe that true transformation requires diverse perspectives, brave imagination, and space for voices that have long been underrepresented, silenced or hidden.
We understand belonging as something deep-rooted and relational—a shared ground we tend together. It informs how we choose our collaborators, nurture our stories, and imagine what literature can become.
